James Ronald Robertson, 79, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed from this life June 11, 2018. James was born December 28, 1938 in Eddyville, Kentucky to Noble and Nannie (Hammonds) Robertson.  James grew up in Chicago and served his country while in the United States Army. He moved to Oklahoma City in 2013 to be with family. James enjoyed bowling, calling bingo, cook outs, spending time with family, and cheering on his favorite baseball team the Chicago Cubs.
James is preceded in death by his parents, his life partner, Mary Straka, one son, Dale, and one grandson, Michael Thomas.
He is survived by his three daughters; Brenda Nelson of Oklahoma City, OK, Carrie Lynch of Wellston, OK, and Kelly Thomas (Rick) of Evansville, Indiana, one sister; Janet Warren (Ron) of Caruthersville, Missouri, 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
