Robert L. Dotson Sr.

"Bob" Dotson was born December 7, 1936 in Davenport, Ok to Olin & Dora Dotson, he left this life September 15, 2020. Bob had many talents, one of which was singing country music, he liked to call himself "The Merle Haggard of Okc". Bob served his country in both the National Guard and the U.S. Navy, while in the Navy he held a boxing record of 30/32 with 28 knockouts. He played American Legion baseball and spent time coaching and umpiring many little league games. Bob enjoyed woodworking, he was a talented craftsman who retired from American Millwork after 42 years. He continued woodworking long after his retirement as a hobby. Bob enjoyed traveling, fishing, singing, dancing and OU football.

He leaves behind his loving wife Peggy, four sons Kevin and wife Diana, Kenneth and wife Zina, Kyle and wife Patty, Robert "Bobby" Dotson Jr., two stepsons Eddie Keefer and Joey Keefer, two daughters Kathy Dotson and Shelli Hartley and husband John. One stepdaughter Tina Keefer. 13 grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held October 3, 2020 at 1:00 at The Luther Church of Christ. Cremation is under the direction of Boydston-Bailey funeral home.
